ABOUT US

Agnes Agosto, Hannah Connors, and Lauren Strechay are a part of Hopkinton Girl Scout Troop 65294. They are  working towards their Silver Award, which was focused on the dangers of vaping in adolescents. This website is a product of their hard work.

Meet The Girls Behind It All

Agnes

Agnes has been a Girl Scout since she was in kindergarten. Though Agnes is very committed to her Silver Award, she also loves playing field hockey and soccer, and hanging out with her family. Agnes also loves acting, and has been in almost every one of her school’s theatre productions. She especially loves anything to do with music, like playing cello and piano, listening to music, or singing (much to the dismay of her siblings). When Agnes isn’t busy doing these things, she loves hanging out with her friends, reading, and watching movies.

Hannah

Hannah has been doing Girl Scouts for nine, almost ten years. Although Hannah loves to do Girl Scouts, she also loves theatre, especially musical theatre, you can often find her belting songs in her bedroom, or playing show tunes loudly. Hannah also plays lacrosse, does competitive gymnastics, and loves to sing and play different instruments. She also loves spending time with her family, you can find her playing lacrosse with her older brother, and dad, or watching movies with her mom, and dog Bauer.

Lauren

Lauren has been Girl Scout 65294 since the beginning, and she is thrilled to have gotten to this point in her project after almost one year of hard work. Lauren enjoys doing karate, where she is almost a brown belt (the rank just before black!). She also enjoys playing field hockey and soccer. When Lauren is not being active or working on her Silver Award, she likes reading, hanging out with friends, and listening to music. She also loves to play her flute or draw. Another pastime of Lauren’s is annoying her older brother or playing with her dog, Trace.

Our Goal.

The goal of this project is to educate people on the dangers of vaping, as the girls feel this is an important subject to address. This issue becomes more relevant as the girls move on to high school. Hopefully this project can make an impact in their town. Vaping may not be stopped, but awareness about it will be spread. This could mean keeping just one person away from vaping or more. No matter how many people are affected, Agnes, Hannah, and Lauren still wish to achieve their goal for themselves and their community.
